We’re Celebrating First Star’s 25th Anniversary
FOSTERING 25 YEARS OF LOVE
First Star was founded on February 14, 2000, with a mission to improve the systems supporting our nation’s foster youth. Twenty-five years later, we continue to empower high school youth in foster care by providing the opportunity, tools, and support they need to transition successfully to self-sufficiency—whether through higher education or other viable pathways.
For a quarter of a century, we have been fostering love and building a community that treats students in foster care like family.
This Valentine’s Day, join us in celebrating First Star’s 25th Anniversary by supporting our scholars through focused micro-grants designed to meet their most consistent and impactful needs. A little love goes a long way, and our 25 years of working with foster youth has shown us that even small acts of kindness can create a big difference.

Give the Gift of $250
At First Star, we make sure each one of our students are provided with laptops, cell phones and the necessary tools and resources to be successful in high school and beyond. Your gift of $250 can provide scholars like Gemma with a tablet to complete her homework and stay connected.
