Thousands Of Young People Likely Affected By “Out-Of-County” Barriers To Care

According to the most recent numbers (July 2014) shared by the California Child Welfare Indicators Project (CCWIP) at UC Berkeley, almost one in five California foster youth (13,147 out of 66,604) were sent to placements (a foster home, group home, etc.) across county lines or “out-of-county.”
